Sahanpurua ja lastua välipohjaan / Sawdust and shavings into the floor between the first and the ground floor

Päätimme täyttää yläkerran ja oman asuinkerroksemme välisen pohjan sahanpurulla - puru olisi materiaalina halpa ja toimisi hyvin äänieristeenä. Lempäälän Laudan kautta onnistuimme hankkimaan kontillisen purua ja tarkoituksemme oli puhalta puru kontista yläkertaan ekovillan puhaltamiseen tarkoitetulla puhaltimella. Tunnin yrittämisen jälkeen kävi kuitenkin selväksi ettei puhallin jaksanut puhaltaa ekovillaa painavampaa purua ja päätimme kantaa purun säkeillä. Lähes neljäkymmentä kuutiota purua siirtyi ihmeen vähällä vaivalla kahdessa päivässä kolmen ihmisen voimin yläkertaan ja tiivistämiseen kului puoli päivää kahdelta ihmiseltä. Kyllä oli vaivan väärti! 

We decided to use sawdust and shavings to fill the floor between our apartment and upstairs b&b - this solution would be cheap and also good for sound insulation. The plan was to use a blower to blow the sawdust straight upstairs, however, after trying for one hour we realised the sawdust was too heavy for the blower. So, we needed to carry the stuff upstairs. For three people it to two days to carry, and one more day for two people to compress (to pack it tight? I don't know the correct phrase) the sawdust.
