B & B

Matkustaessamme pyrimme aina suosimaan pieniä, uniikkeja perheiden omistamia ja pyörittämiä hotelleja joissa on joku 'idea'. Parhaimmillaan ne voivat tarjota matkan ajassa taaksepäin tai portin toiseen maailmaan. Tällaisia on matkamme varrella ollut mm. Hotel Irma Wyomingissa, B&B Palazzo del Capitolo Italiassa, sekä Jade Seahorse Hondurasissa. Joskus myös omistajat ja heidän jokapäiväinen elämänsä sekä heiltä saatu informaatio saattavat rikastuttaa matkaa odottamattomalla tavalla. 

Melkein koko yhdessäolomme ajan olemme ajankuluksemme sekä matkoilla että kotona pohtineet minkälainen olisi täydellinen hotelli tai B&B. Jo vuosia olemme myöskin haaveilleet oman majoituspaikan perustamisesta mutta jostakin syystä olemme ajatelleet että siihen tarvitsisi asua joko Alpeilla tai tropiikissa.

Noin vuosi sitten tajusimme kuitenkin että voisimme tehdä sen myös Tampereella. Tarkoituksemme on remontoida talon yläkertaan kolme makuuhuonetta joista jokaiseen mahtuu vähintään nelihenkinen perhe. Jokaiseen huoneeseen tulee lapsille erilliset makuutilat sekä oma WC ja suihku. Myös lemmikit tulevat olemaan tervetulleita.

We love small unique family-owned hotels. Many times when you walk in to these places it feels you travel back in time or step in to a different world. Sometimes also the owners and their everyday life around them can become a fascinating part of your trip. We have, for example, enjoyed Hotel Irma in Wyoming, B&B Palazzo del Capitolo in southern Italy and Jade Seahorse in Honduras. 

During our travels and ten years together we have spent hours and hours talking about how to create a perfect hotel or a B&B. The idea of setting up something ourselves have been tempting us for years but for some reason we always thought we need to be in the Alps perhaps, or somewhere in the tropics in order to do it.

However, after years of wondering where to settle down we realised that we can do it even in Tampere Finland - we just need to do it right.

Upstairs of our house we will open up a small b&b with three rooms that all accommodate a family with kids. Every room will have an attached bathroom and a separate sleeping area for kids. We will also welcome pets.
